MINI Nature-X is an adventurous mobility solution for modern explorers to discover premium travel expeditions with environmental relevance.
MINI as a brand is transforming more and more into a lifestyle and experience provider where the user is stepping into the foreground. Along this theme, the author of this thesis predicts that the next step in the brand's identity is called “Nature X”. An accelerator platform for investing in nature, advocating for it and educating around the notion of environmental consciousness. With its soft-robotic drive train (soft-robotic is a flexible silicon-ish material which inflates through air) the vehicle is able to move forward without harming its surroundings.
This leads to the next value of MINI where going sustainable will be the next premium lifestyle. The MINI Nature-X vehicle will provide an adventurous stay for customers and simultaneously collect crucial data to help our Earth survive climate crisis. in parallell, it changes the way customers interact with their environment by taking another view to the outside. With its vertically orientated windows to the front and top it creates unique opportunities to observe our above. Together with a new interaction unit, which reminds slightly of the steering wheel as we know it today, the user will be able to get information about targeted objects.
